TriLinc Global
Private capital that finances growing businesses in developing economies, powerful impact without compromising return.
TriLinc Global empowers investors to put private capital to work for measurable social and environmental impact without sacrificing returns. Through its Private Debt Plus® strategy, TriLinc provides term loans and trade finance to established, growth-stage small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in developing economies, the businesses that create jobs and build communities but are chronically starved of growth capital. We are an investor in the TriLinc Global Impact Fund, part of the impact-oriented, global reach of our portfolio.
Why we invested
In much of the developing world, the "missing middle" is the central problem of economic development: companies too big for microfinance and too small or too remote for commercial banks and private equity. They are exactly the enterprises that would employ people, strengthen supply chains, and lift communities if only they could access capital.
TriLinc exists to close that gap, and it does so in a way we admire: not with concessionary charity, but with disciplined private credit that seeks market-rate returns and documented impact. That combination, real return alongside real development outcomes, is one-pocket investing on a global scale, and it extends our financial-inclusion thesis (which we also pursue domestically through CIM and SoLo, and internationally through Lendable) into the trade and term-lending that growing businesses actually need.
What TriLinc does
TriLinc sources and underwrites loans to creditworthy SMEs through a network of experienced local investment partners, focusing on senior, secured, income-generating private debt. Every borrower is screened and measured against clear impact objectives, and TriLinc reports its outcomes annually against global standards.

Why it matters to uS
TriLinc lets us stand behind entrepreneurs a world away who are doing exactly what we believe drives flourishing: creating dignified work, widening access, and strengthening the communities around them. By investing in disciplined, impact-first private credit in the places capital reaches last, we help turn global investment into local opportunity return and development, held together.
