Kyndly
Making it simpler for employers to give workers real choice in health coverage.
Kyndly is a health benefits technology company that makes it easy to offer an ICHRA, the Individual Coverage Health Reimbursement Arrangement. Instead of a one-size-fits-all group plan, an ICHRA lets an employer give workers tax-advantaged dollars to choose the individual health plan that fits their life. Kyndly provides the turnkey, white-label platform that benefits administrators, FMOs, and general agencies use to deliver it at scale. Kyndly first came to us through our Reconstruct Challenge, where it won a Phase 1 grant, and we followed with a Phase 2 investment.
Why we backed them
Health coverage is a foundation of a stable life, but the traditional group-plan model leaves a lot of people out. Small employers often cannot afford it, and employees rarely get a say in a plan that fits their needs. ICHRA changes that equation. It gives employers a predictable, affordable way to contribute and gives workers the freedom to choose their own coverage, which they keep even if they change jobs.
The catch has been that ICHRA is complex to administer, which slows adoption. Kyndly removes that friction. Its platform handles quoting, plan design, compliance, and enrollment, and by its own reporting delivers around 28% average savings for employers, with access to 150-plus carriers across more than 20 states and a self-guided enrollment experience that takes minutes. For us, this is access and agency working together: more employers able to offer coverage, and more workers able to choose it.
From the Reconstruct Challenge to our portfolio
Kyndly is another example of our innovation work paying off. Through the Reconstruct Challenge, we help founders test and prove ideas that expand access and improve outcomes. Kyndly won a Phase 1 grant to develop its idea, proved the model, and earned a Phase 2 investment as it grew into a scaling company. That path, from grant to investment, is exactly what the Challenge is built to create.
What Kyndly does
Quoting and plan design: multiple contribution strategies, real-time affordability validation, and side-by-side comparisons to group plans.
Employee enrollment: AI-powered plan recommendations, a wide carrier network, and a mobile, self-guided experience.
Full white-label: partners deliver the platform under their own brand, so it fits the way employers already buy benefits.
Why it matters to us
Kyndly widens access to something essential in a way that respects people's choices. It helps employers do right by their workers and gives those workers more control over their own health coverage. Backing it, first through the Reconstruct Challenge and then as an investor, is one of the ways we put capital behind a healthier, more accessible economy.
