Transitioning American farmland to Certified Organic and regenerative, healing soil while building lasting value.

ClearFrontier Ag Management (CFAM) is a leading organic farmland investment manager driving measurable impact through the transition of conventional U.S. farmland to Certified USDA Organic. We are an investor in ClearFrontier's Meadowlark Lands Fund, part of our real assets allocation and capital that stewards the land while pursuing durable returns.

Why we invested

Feeding people well and caring for creation are not side quests to human flourishing; they're central to it. Our thesis holds that a flourishing world depends on regenerative practices in the natural world, treating the soil, water, and food systems as things to be stewarded for future generations, not depleted for this one. ClearFrontier turns that conviction into acres.

Conventional agriculture depletes topsoil far faster than it regenerates and pushes billions of pounds of synthetic chemicals into our waterways. ClearFrontier's premise is that the most compelling opportunity in American agriculture is also its most urgent environmental imperative: converting conventional farmland to organic and regenerative production. Because organic crops have historically commanded meaningful price premiums amid a persistent supply-demand imbalance, that conversion can unlock real financial value at the same time it rebuilds soil, sequesters carbon, and improves biodiversity. It is one-pocket investing in the ground itself, impact and returns as the same act, not a trade-off.

What ClearFrontier does

ClearFrontier acquires row-crop farmland across the Midwest, converts it to Certified Organic at scale, and manages the portfolio with a repeatable, disciplined process. Crucially, it does this with farmers by partnering with family farms through long-term leases, transition support, and premium organic market access, and intentionally supporting the next generation of American agriculture, including younger, new, women, and minority farmers.

By its most recent reporting, ClearFrontier has:

  • $232M+ invested across 35,000+ acres

  • 19 operating farm partners, roughly 70% family-farm operators with an average heritage of three generations

  • A model that measures social and environmental outcomes (soil health and carbon, reduced synthetic inputs, water protected) as rigorously as financial ones

The firm is backed by mission-aligned institutional partners in the sustainable food-systems space, lending experience and market access to a disciplined, impact-first strategy.

Why it matters to us

ClearFrontier lets us put capital to work where several of our deepest commitments meet: caring for creation, strengthening rural communities and family farms, and improving the food system that sustains us all. Every acre converted is soil rebuilt, chemicals removed, a farming family supported, and value created and flourishing you can measure by the acre.
