Past Projects
CVC - Marathon
CVC-Marathon, formerly Marathon Asset Management, is a leading global credit investment manager. In July 2026, CVC Capital Partners completed its acquisition of the firm, which is being rebranded CVC-Marathon; co-founders Bruce Richards and Lou Hanover continue to lead its credit strategies. We are a limited partner in the Marathon Distressed Credit Fund, which held its final close at $2.5 billion in early 2021, part of the opportunistic credit allocation within our portfolio.
Fig Loans
Fig Loans is a socially responsible alternative to predatory payday lending. Founded in 2015 by Wharton graduates John Li and Jeffrey Zhou in partnership with United Way of Greater Houston, Fig offers affordable emergency loans and credit-building products designed to align the company's success with the financial health of its borrowers. Our relationship goes back to Fig's early days: the company came through the Village Capital Financial Inclusion cohort that we funded, and we later backed it directly in a follow-on round.
Cliffwater
Cliffwater is one of the most respected authorities in private credit. Founded in 2004 and 100% employee-owned, the firm advises many of the country's largest pensions, endowments, and sovereign wealth funds on alternative investments, and manages its own suite of private-debt funds. We invest through Cliffwater's flagship vehicle, the Cliffwater Corporate Lending Fund (CCLFX), a core private-credit allocation within our portfolio.
North Sky Capital
North Sky Capital is one of the longest-tenured impact investing firms in the market. Founded in 2000, it seeks to create positive social and environmental impact while generating strong financial returns by investing in companies, private equity funds, and infrastructure projects that make the world a better place. We are an investor in North Sky's Clean Growth strategy, part of the impact-oriented core of our real assets allocation.
