The Leadership Experience (LX) envisions a future in which Christian marketplace leaders are known and supported through durable friendships that glorify God, friendships that produce contagious generosity and lives of integrity. We didn't invest in LX from the outside; we helped build it. Access Ventures became involved in 2015, and the vision solidified when the founding board incorporated LX as a nonprofit in 2019. We remain a committed strategic partner today.
Why We Co-Founded It
Leadership is often lonely. The people carrying the heaviest expectations — from staff, family, community, and church — are frequently the least likely to be truly known. Left in a siloed world, it's easy for the world's definition of power, success, and worth to quietly replace who a leader is called to be.
LX exists to interrupt that isolation. Grounded in the conviction that we are all created in the Imago Dei and made for more, it gathers highly driven Christian leaders into a community that understands their unique challenges and shares their drive toward their greatest potential. As the LX verse puts it: "As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another." When leaders are truly known and loved, they flourish and they help others flourish too.
What LX is Built On
Durable Friendships. Relationships that endure through time, tension, and change, because when people are truly known, great things happen.
Contagious Generosity. Giving sacrificially for the good of others, and finding creative ways to share time, resources, and influence in a way that inspires still more generosity.
Integrated Faith. Living out faith fully in leadership, work, and everyday life and rejecting the divide between sacred and secular, and aligning belief with behavior.
Why it Matters To Us
That last value, Integrated Faith, is the personal echo of our own one-pocket conviction: a refusal to compartmentalize life into separate boxes for work and worth, profit and purpose. Just as we believe capital shouldn't be split into a pocket for profit and a pocket for good, LX believes a leader's life shouldn't be split into sacred and secular.
Access Ventures exists to advance human flourishing, and people are the deepest leverage point of all. By co-founding and continuing to steward LX, we invest in the character, community, and generosity of the leaders who shape our economy and our communities, helping them lead from a place of belonging rather than isolation.
