Institutional real estate credit that is a disciplined, income-generating ballast for a resilient portfolio.

Fortress Investment Group is a pioneer and leader in alternative assets, managing capital across credit, real estate, and private equity for some of the world's largest and most sophisticated investors. We invest through Fortress's real estate credit strategy (the Fortress Credit Realty Income Trust) as part of the disciplined, income-oriented core of our portfolio.

Why we hold it

One-pocket investing means deploying every dollar on purpose, including the foundational allocations that make a mission-driven balance sheet resilient enough to endure market cycles and keep funding the work that matters. Real estate credit is one of those building blocks: senior, secured, income-generating exposure that can steady a portfolio when public markets don't.

The Fortress Credit Realty strategy fits that role well. It focuses on first-lien, senior-secured debt backed by high-quality commercial and residential real estate with substantial borrower equity, a conservative, downside-aware posture designed to generate consistent income while protecting principal. In a market where higher rates have pulled traditional lenders back, that kind of disciplined credit capital is both needed and well-positioned.

Who Fortress is

Fortress has spent more than two decades investing across a full range of market, economic, and credit environments, with an overriding objective it states plainly: protect and grow investors' capital. Its scale and reach span corporate credit, asset-based finance, real estate, private equity, and insurance solutions.

By its most recent reporting (as of March 31, 2026), Fortress manages

  • $54 billion in assets

  • $200 billion+ invested to date

  • Capital on behalf of 2,000+ institutional and private investors

Why it matters to us

Fortress does a different job than the mission-forward positions elsewhere in our portfolio and an equally necessary one: generating steady, secured income with institutional discipline. It reflects a core conviction of ours that a flourishing-oriented portfolio must be built on real rigor, not good intentions alone. Conscious construction runs all the way down, including to the ballast that keeps the whole thing steady.
