Introducing Our Inaugural Senior Fellows
Honoring wisdom. Deepening dialogue. Shaping what comes next.
At Access Ventures, we believe transformative change is always shaped by people, by their wisdom, their questions, and their willingness to steward influence for the common good.
Today, we’re honored to announce the launch of the Access Ventures Senior Fellows Program, a new invitation-only fellowship designed to engage distinguished leaders whose lives and work reflect deep alignment with our mission to cultivate human flourishing.
These Senior Fellows are leaders who have spent decades thinking, building, teaching, and leading, and who now bring a rare combination of clarity, humility, and long-range vision to the questions that matter most.
This is not an operational role. It is a relational and intellectual partnership.
Senior Fellows serve as strategic thought partners, public advocates, and ambassadors, helping shape the conversations we’re having around faith, leadership, capital, culture, and the future of flourishing communities. Through counsel, writing, convening, and mentorship, Fellows help Access Ventures (and the broader ecosystem we serve) see more clearly and act more faithfully.
The creation of this fellowship reflects a conviction that feels increasingly urgent:
In an age of noise, speed, and fragmentation, wisdom must be intentionally honored and cultivated.
Announcing Our First Senior Fellows
We are deeply grateful to announce the first two leaders to join the Access Ventures Senior Fellows community, individuals whose work has profoundly shaped how we think about vocation, leadership, and the moral imagination.
Dr. Steve Garber
Dr. Steve Garber is a globally respected thought leader on vocation, faith, and public life. As the principal of The Washington Institute for Faith, Vocation & Culture, he also served as the Professor of Marketplace Theology at Regent College, Steve has spent decades helping leaders wrestle honestly with what it means to live faithfully in complex institutions and cultural systems.
He is the author of several influential books, including Visions of Vocation, The Fabric of Faithfulness, A Seamless Life, and most recently Hints of Hope: Essays on Making Peace with the Proximate which reflects on the quiet, demanding work of living with integrity in particular places, even when outcomes are uncertain.
Steve’s work has shaped generations of leaders by insisting that belief and behavior, conviction and practice, must be held together and most especially when the costs are high.
Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing
Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing is a theologian, author, and speaker whose work engages faith, leadership, and culture with intellectual rigor and pastoral sensitivity. She serves as an Honorary Lecturer in Theology at the University of Aberdeen and has spent years working with students, academics, and public leaders across the UK and globally.
Amy is the author of several books, including Where Is God in All the Suffering? Her most recent works, Forgiveness: Reclaiming Our Power in a Culture of Outrage and Lead Like the Real You, reflect her sustained commitment to forming courageous, authentic leadership marked by conviction, wholeness, and hope amid cultural fracture. She is also the founder of The Advocate Collective, an organization dedicated to equipping leaders (particularly women) to lead with conviction, integrity, and hope.
Amy brings to Access Ventures a global perspective, a deep theological imagination, and a commitment to forming leaders who engage the public square with both truth and grace.
Looking Ahead
The Access Ventures Senior Fellows Program is intentionally small and relational. Over time, we will continue to invite a limited number of leaders whose lives and work embody the kind of influence we hope to see multiplied. Leaders who finish well, steward power wisely, and remain curious, generous, and grounded.
We are honored to begin this journey with Dr. Steve Garber and Dr. Amy Orr-Ewing, and we look forward to the insights, conversations, and collaborations that will grow from their partnership with Access Ventures.
More to come…
