The Asia Companion Fund (ACF) is a Singapore-based venture fund that invests in Series A and B+ companies whose cultures seek to bless their stakeholders, starting with their own employees. It was incubated by JLIN Capital Studio, the people-driven investment group founded by Jeremy Lin that operates across Asia and the United States. We are a limited partner in the fund.
Why we invested
Most venture capital rewards one thing above all: relentless growth. ACF starts from a different question. It asks whether a company treats its people well, and it backs founders who want to build cultures of care even under the pressure to scale. That aligns closely with how we think about human flourishing, where the goal is not only a strong return but businesses that help people live good and meaningful lives.
We also appreciate how ACF works. The team walks alongside its entrepreneurs, listens to them, and encourages them to lead with conviction rather than fear. For select portfolio companies in emerging Southeast Asian markets, ACF pairs investment capital with grant funding, provided through a partnership with a Korea-based international development agency, to support the initiatives founders prioritize as they build a people-first culture. ACF invests in growth-stage companies across Asia that combine commercial strength with a genuine commitment to their people. Its featured investments give a sense of the range:
Endowus, a leading digital wealth management platform in Singapore and Hong Kong.
Jago, a cafe-on-wheels and last-mile distribution company in Jakarta, Indonesia.
MYSC, a Korea-based social innovation company running startup accelerators, ESG consulting, and impact investing funds.
Alongside its investors, the fund shares a simple aim: to see entrepreneurs flourish in every part of life and to lead their companies with love.
Why it matters to us
ACF extends our conviction across the Pacific. It puts capital behind founders in Asia who believe, as we do, that how a company treats its people is not a cost to be managed but a measure of whether it is worth building. Being an LP lets us support that vision far from home, and learn from a team whose most important work, in their own words, is knowing the people they invest in.
