Making service measurable so more people can focus on doing good.

MobileServe makes it simple to track, verify, and celebrate volunteer service. Its platform lets students and teams log hours in a few taps, verify service with signatures, photos, email, or geotagging, and roll it all up into clear reporting that shows an organization's real impact over time. We were the first check into MobileServe, and we've held a board seat since day one.

Why we backed them first

Generosity and service are among the truest expressions of a flourishing community and among the hardest things to see and sustain when they're buried in paper logs and forgotten spreadsheets. MobileServe's insight was simple: if you make service easy to track and meaningful to celebrate, you get more of it.

We believed in that from the very beginning, before there was much to point to but a founder and a conviction. Backing MobileServe with our first check and staying close through a board seat ever since, reflects how we like to invest: early, relationally, and for the long haul, in founders building tools that help people do more good. It also reflects our roots; MobileServe is part of the entrepreneurial community we've worked to strengthen close to home.

What MobileServe does

MobileServe is built for anyone who mobilizes volunteers:

  • Smart volunteer tracking — log service hours anytime, in seconds, from a phone.

  • Flexible verification — confirm service with signatures, photos, email, or geotagging.

  • Service highlights — attach photos and reflections to capture the story behind the hours.

  • Friendly competition — invite others, compare progress, and recognize top contributors.

  • Aggregate data and reporting — measure participation and impact across an entire school or organization, with exportable reports.

It serves K-12 schools, colleges and universities, nonprofits, corporate social-responsibility programs, and parent-volunteer communities by taking the friction out of tracking so people can stay focused on serving.

Why it matters to us

MobileServe sits close to our heart: a company whose entire purpose is to help people do good, and one we've helped build from its first day. Being the first investor and a long-tenured board member let us do more than fund it and we've been able to steward it, encourage its founders, and watch a simple, generous idea grow into a tool that makes service visible and contagious across thousands of communities.
