Reconstruct, powered by a community.

We have run seven Reconstruct challenges. This would be the first to run the reverse-pitch model through a community like LX, with homelessness as the leading candidate for the problem.

The community names the problem, then invites innovators to solve it
One cohort, 3 winners at $50K each, from a pipeline of 100-plus

What LX brings, and what we need from you.

The community supplies the judging, mentoring, and network a paid Challenge normally buys, worth roughly $30K to $60K in kind: judges and a selection committee, two-person mentor pods for a full year, and a room full of stakeholders.

From campaign to national platform.

Reposition our mothballed Louisville campaign into a national storytelling and myth-busting platform, built on Zac Clark's rights-clean archive of homelessness stories.

~500 stories across all 58 California counties: audio, portrait, place, and data
Statistically real: roughly 1 in 360 of California's homeless population
The Stanford book carries the prestige; the digital platform is ours to build
Keep the name: the know / no wordplay already does the myth-busting

Know Homelessness · The Play

Four assets, one launch.

The rebuilt platform, an interactive map, myth-busting creative, and a take-action hub, launching together in Spring 2027. It rides alongside Fracture to Flourish Season 4, our homelessness season (covered under the podcast). Budget around $60K to $90K for the year, with a traveling photo-and-audio exhibit as a donor add-on.

Looking Forward · AV Fellowship

Year four, anchored in Denver.

The Fellowship enters its fourth year and its second place-based cohort. Southern California was first; Denver is where we want to anchor next, given our deep network there. The model: six fellows, ten months, $20K stipends, three retreats, and formation across systemic thinking, reflection, and community.
